Tuesday group walk: 2 Yellow Wagtail and up to 5 Corn Bunting around the Highfield/Bodkin Hazel lanes (N Hawkridge).
BRISTOL:
Avonmouth docks: 7 Oystercatcher and 3 Common Sandpiper at the Holesmouth section early am (S Hale).
Hengrove: 2 Green Woodpecker near the school grounds (R Daw).

A juvenile Little Ringed Plover at the main pool 11.20am, right hand bank from the middle hide but best viewed from the seawall or tower hide. Little else of note except for 20+ Swift brought down by the rain (S Hale).
CHEW VALLEY LAKE:
Highlights early am: 6 early Wigeon, 2 Water Rail and 4 Greenshank (S Davies).
Buzzard Recovery:
A Common Buzzard chick (one of a brood of three) ringed near Walton-in-Gordano on 17th June 1997 was recovered dead on 21 April 2011 46km ESE at Brokerswood Country Park, Hawkeridge, Wilts.
It was not far off its 14th birthday. It was, no doubt, living and breeding in that area having dispersed from my study area within a couple of years of fledging (RJ Prytherch).
