Sightings 12/7/11

SEVERNSIDE: per severnsidebirds
Aust Warth: a Little Egret and a Grey Heron at Cake Pill this morning.

New Passage: 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Whimbrel, 17 Curlew, 4 Redshank, 2 Common Sandpiper, 200 BH Gull, single Kingfisher, a Green Woodpecker, 5 Sand Martin, 2 Grey Wagtail, 2 Goldcrest and 2 Raven.

Severn Beach:
the cygnets are doing well at the orchard pools

2 Mediterranean Gull posing on the beach in front of you know who's house this evening, no upsurge in waders here yet.


PORTBURY WHARF:
Just 2 Common Sandpiper of note today (S Hale).

EASTON-in-GORDANO:
2 Quail still present near the barley fields (J Martin).

CHEW VALLEY LAKE: per cvlbirding
Gearing up for another good bird, around the lake today, 8 Little Egret, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 45 Lapwing, 5 Dunlin, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Greenshank, a Redshank, a Green Sandpiper, 3 YL Gull and 23 GBB Gull (22 on 1st also).

A Grasshopper Warbler also along the Grebe trail.
