Sightings 4/7/11

BRISTOL:
Sea Mills: a flyover Cuckoo in the garden this morning (S George).

SLIMBRIDGE WWT:
Some super pics from Allan at the site today, especially the last wader shot! Click on it to really appreciate the size comparisons.

SEVERNSIDE: per severnsidebirds:
Aust Warth: 2 Common Sandpiper in Cake Pill.

New Passage: Not much in the way of waders yet, best bird was a juvenile Yellow Wagtail.

Chittening Warth:
4.7.11 Reed Bunting
A Common Sandpiper and 10 Reed Bunting at the Stup Pill leg this morning. Some were young Reed Buntings being fed by the parents.

EASTON in-GORDANO:
The Quail was calling again in the barley field at Common Lane 10pm (JF Copeland).


PORTBURY WHARF:
A juvenile Mediterranean Gull on the main pool this evening (S Hale).

CLEVEDON COAST:
7 Common Sandpiper at the Kenn Est this evening (H Taffs).

CHEW VALLEY LAKE:
Twycross: 10 Little Ringed Plover in the evening, 2 adults and 8 juveniles (per cvlbirding).

Portbury M5 J19 on 1/7/11:
Late report received of a flyover Red Kite around 10.30am (per clevedonbirds).
