A few shots of the long-staying Spoonbill, in each photo, the bird is actually awake and doing something, unlike most of the Spoonbills we see in Avon where the bird is usually asleep.....

Aust Warth inc Cliff section: 3 Kestrel, 4 Curlew, 5 Common Sandpiper, 5 Redshank, 4 fly-by GBB Gull to north and a Chiffchaff.
New Passage: Single Little Egret and Grey Heron, 10 Oystercatcher, single Ringed Plover, 2 Sanderling, c.100 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpiper, 38 Redshank, 65 Turnstone, a juvenile Mediterranean Gull and c.300 BH Gull.
Orchard Pool: Singles of Grey Heron, Green Woodpecker and Jay.
PORTBURY DOCK: S Hale
Late afternoon high tide: 5 Oystercatcher, 32 Ringed Plover, 95 Dunlin (mostly adults), 29 Curlew and 2 Wheatear.
OLDBURY POWER STATION 8/8/11: per opsbirding
A very early Brent Goose on the tidal reservoir.
