A Little Ringed Plover convention underway at Chew this evening.

still present to 7.30pm at least
Darren's local patch continues to go through an obscenely rich vein of form, we're not happy about it at all. Through gritted teeth, we post a few more super shots of the Shrike and one of the Redstarts, many thanks Andy, Allan, Don and Gordon.

Today 7.15-8.15 Darren had the Woodchat Shrike still, 3 Spotted Flycatcher, 4 Redstart and a juvenile Whinchat as well as 'background noise' provided by a Buzzard, Lesser Whitethroat and Whitethroat.

SEVERNSIDE: highlights per severnsidebirds
Aust Warth: 19 Dunlin and 3 Common Sandpiper.

NP-NW: 120 Dunlin, 120 Curlew, 5 Common Sandpiper, 2 juvenile Med Gulls, 2 Whitethroat, 5 Chiffchaff and a Grey Wagtail.

Severn Beach: a fly-past adult Med Gull (evening) and 20 Swift over the shops.

Chittening Warth: 8 Whitethroat and 4 Chiffchaff along the railway bushes and a female Sparrowhawk nearby too.

BRISTOL:
Combe Dingle: a juvenile Kingfisher along the river Trym 2pm (S George).

PORTBURY WHARF:
3 Common Sandpiper at Chapel Pill creek this evening (S Hale).

CLEVEDON COAST: a good showing of waders
Wain's - Yeo Est 7.30-11.30am: 7 Mute Swan, 2 Shelduck+10 young, 4 Teal, 110 Mallard, 3 Cormorant, 14 Little Egret, the juvenile GC Grebe still (Mill Leaze), 12 Oystercatcher, 12 Ringed Plover, single Sanderling,225 Dunlin, 2 Whimbrel, 325 Curlew, 24 Common Sandpiper (10 Kenn Est, 14 Yeo Est), 2 Green Sandpiper, 5 Greenshank (Mill Leaze), 120 Redshank, 3 Turnstone, 700 BH Gull, single Green Woodpecker, 115 Swallow, just 2 Rock Pipit, 2 Yellow Wagtail, 14 Pied Wagtail, 4 Wheatear and 250 Linnet (S Sanins).

CHEW VALLEY LAKE:
Early morning: 10 Little Ringed Plover (Herriott's) and 9 Green Sandpiper (most at Heron's Green).

Evening: 16 (sixteen) Little Ringed Plover at Herriott's and a Little Gull at Heron's Green bay (S Davies)
