ALMONDSBURY:
Lower Knole Farm: a Cuckoo here today (M Dadds).

(Cuckoo was recorded  at 9 sites last month, all singles except for 2 birds at Clevedon on 21st, compared to 15 sites in May 2010). Please continue to send in all records of this species, many thanks.

SEVERN BEACH:
Western Approaches Dist' Park: 4 Shelduck and a Little Egret at the newly created lake (M Dadds)


PORTBURY:
3 Buzzard soaring over the M5 at J19 mid-day (S Hale).

CLEVEDON COAST: still some ongoing wader passage:
24 Shelduck (+11 week old ducklings), 42 Mallard, 1 Grey Heron, 6 Little Egret, 7 Oystercatcher, 24 Ringed Plover, 5 Lapwing, 44 Dunlin, 2 Whimbrel, 18 Curlew, single Greenshank, 2 summer dress Turnstone, 14 LBB Gull, 2 Whitethroat, 6+ Reed Warbler and 15 Linnet (HE Rose).
