Sightings 25/9/11

 The Spotted Sandpiper was a popular bird at Chew today.


CLEVEDON COAST: HE Rose
Passage waders and Wheatear numbers tailing off here.

110 Shelduck, 6 Teal, 125 Mallard, 3 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 3 Little Egret, 18 Oystercatcher, 8 Ringed |Plover, 12 Dunlin, single Whimbrel, 140 Curlew, 90 Redshank, 3 Green Sandpiper, 15 Turnstone, 250 BH Gull, 3 LBB Gull, 1 GBB Gull, 6 Wheatear and a Chiffchaff.

Herriott's: the Spotted Sandpiper still present today, it first turned up yesterday. Conveniently, it was flirting with a Common a times so direct comparisons could be made.
